God's Word has the power to change lives! Roman 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." Yet, so many people fail to embrace the truth; we live in the midst of a great conflict. On the one hand, God reveals Himself to us in many ways. According to Romans 1:19-21, nature itself reveals the Creator, "...His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made..." Even so, millions of people look up at the same sky, at God's handy work surrounding them, but fail to glorify God for his breathless creation. Some go further and actually suppress the truth "...since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them..." God says, "People are without excuse."
Another powerful way that God reveals Himself to us is through his Word. God's Word is pure, true, sure, right, clean, righteous, more desirable than gold, sweeter than honey,
provides a warning. (Psalm 19: 7-11) No wonder we look to God's word, the Bible, as the starting point for understanding and wisdom. We gain an insight into the very heart of the Creator through his Word. We discover the historical truths of our world as revealed in Scripture. We gain an understanding of how we got here, why we die, what comes next, and how we get there. We find the unequaled power of the Creator demonstrated, and His unconditional love shown through the sacrifice of his only son, Jesus! (And so much more!)
God's Truth Does Indeed Matter!
